Yup. You should do like this: pull the sword out and then immidiately put it back. You will get +2rep if i remember well (or at least some exp.) If you leave it out, leave the forest, come back then you will find everybody in it dead.

Yes everyone. You MUST reload cuz if you don't you'll probably break the main quest line (you won't be able to get bronthion to the council of seven).

If so you will have to reloud or start all over agian because if he's dead you can't go to the wastlands.

Then it's good, no restart needed. Eleanessa isn't a vital character.

Bronthion doesn't get killed, even if you pulled the sword out of the stone. Some other characters will be dead, but not important characters.
But it's indeed the best to pull the sword and put it back immediately to gain the xp.

I have no idea if this would work, but you could try using Resurrection on her...
