If you deal with the first two undead by casting the fireball spell from sneak, or start a fight and kill them, you get experience. If you set the oil on fire without harming them directly, and that kills them, you get ... the satisfaction of a job well done.

I know it's hard to code for that sort of thing, but in a game with a soft cap based on the total amount of experience you can possibly get, it seems like you'd want to get credit for killing things smart.

---

Why is Ragequit's ghost female? Gender dysphoria, I suppose, sure, but it's a bit of a disjunct. And Death may have many forms, sure, but that doesn't mean *a* dead *individual* necessarily does.

(I know. It's Ragequin. Let it go.)

I think the problem in that case, is that you didn't initiate a combat with them, so no XP.

I think Ragequit's ghost is female because Ragequit was female, in life.
Undeath is a hell of a drug.

I agree re: XP. That's a problem.

I agree, killing them in any way should grant XP. perhaps even more XP when you kill them using creative ways as opposed to combat

Well, yes. That was my point: the way that works is a problem.

Could well be. Now that I think about it, both of the skeletons at the mill use the same model. Man, perceptive bias is a bitch, ain't it?

Probably shouldn't get any XP for the tutorial dungeon. It's just making full completionists go through monotony. Rerolling veterans should have good reason to skip it.

So I'm actually just fine with the situation of killing them the smart way. I'm just not okay with the situation of killing them the dumb way.
