it's early in the game for my male survivor and i only keep one... since i have a pathetic amount of mana i can't really make any use of the spell right now but i can use the statuette...

what i want to know is if it would be too difficult to come across another frog statuette (i'm betting the answer is yes since none of my other characters have come across it or any other statuettes thus far)... these are both great items, i'm just not sure which one i can easily find another of...

i'm probably gonna stick with the froggy... just so i'd be able to speed around and and perhaps far away fast from powerful opponents (actually i'm not sure yet if they'd even recognize me in frog form :P if not then it becomes even more valuable...)...

you can buy them later on, and also there are some hidden
in various locations throughout game. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Statuettes do have different alignments, though I don't think the frog is that different than human. Orcs are friendly to spiders, for example.
I'd keep the statuette as well; those and spell books can be bought later, but the frog would probably be more useful (it cuts down on the time running around dropping off loot / trading, as well as helping to get around or away from enemies).

How often can you use a statuette? And how do you turn back to human? - I held on to the cat statuette I found first (because I just adore cats) but never used any...

Just try it in a safe area.

The transformation will time out after a minute or two, or you can click on the statuette again to turn back into a human before then. They can be used repeatedly. I kept a cat statuette as well, thinking it would come in handy to sneak into some place, but never found a use for it. Frog statuettes let you travel relatively fast, even when encumbered.
