Sir Patrick will not talk to me about Lucius or the Dragon Breastplate. I already have the Heart of Dragon, I got that a long time ago before I even knew what it was for.

I have gotten the quest for the Dragon Armor from the Dwarven King and spoke to the Dwarven Smith. I have the Dragon Shield, Dragon Belt, Dragon Gloves. I have completed the other quests in Verditis, and in fact have completed almost all the other quests possible before ringing the gong. All the council members are saved, etc.

Is there any way to force Sir Patrick to talk to me about the Dragon Breastplate?

Doesn't he want to speak to you at all?
Or are you just missing one option in the conversation box?

Sir Patrick speaks to me, just doesn't talk about Sir Lucius or the Dragon Armor. All he will talk about is Sir Dante, being a rich merchant, and offering credit.

I have a hunch the problem may be because of a quest bug I have. When I was doing the Corinna the Summoner quest I had a problem getting the wine. The wine merchant, Pierce, hostiled on me when I was talking to him, so he died. I got the wine that way, it dropped from him. Then I went on and finished the Corinna quest. Afterwards the quest to get wine from Pierce showed up in my quest diary again, and Pierce is back in his shop. He will talk about the wine and tells me that Anthabert has the wine now, so I went to the Ducal Inn and Anthabert is gone and a bottle of Exquisite Wine was on the floor. Went back to Pierce and nothing changed.

So now I still have the Get Wine from Pierce quest, even though I've done it. And I cannot get Sir Patrick to talk about Lucius, so no Dragon Armor Breastplate. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puppyeyes.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" />

I pretty much went straight from the king to Sir Patrick after the king told me about the dwarven armour. After Sir Patrick asked me if I knew anything about a recent theft on his property, I was able to ask him about the breastplate. Did you talk to the dwarven smith, and maybe talk to the king again? Did you bring him both the axe and letter?

If all else fails, check out [i]Lost Items -guide and directory of inventory files[/i]. You'll miss out on some experience if you do it this way, and it probably will not help your quest log problem any.

I've spoken to the Dwarven King and Dwarven Smith a few times now, and brought the King both the Axe and the Letter. He did not take the letter though, it remained in my inventory.

I'm afraid I encountered the same problem, and for the life of me I haven't been able to figure out what caused it. The one similarity is that my Bottle of Wine quest also did not clear, but I had already had Arthrabert arrested, so I grabbed the wine from his room. I'm not sure that that would have anything to do with Sir Patrick and the Dragon Armor, though.

Dragon Armor bug?

I finally ended up downloading Raze's zip file for the Dragon breastplate and was able to proceed, that is, took it to Grischa, got it fixed, got the helmet and the experience for the complete set.

I would have preferred to play it straight, but apparently there is a bug in there somewhere.
