Hi
Thats some bug thats enervating in multiplayer..or call it "gameplay braking".

We play via Lan and I play the HOST..both as Wizards, so some other for melee is necessary. Thats why my friend hired Madora. During that play, it was he, who she was conneted to and every thing was fine.
After saving/quiting/reloading...she suddenly was connected to me. I could "brake the chain" and control my char and her seperately, but my friend could never get a hold on her. Even when i only controlled my char, he could move the pic, the cains came out, but as soon as relasing the button, the chain imidiately disconnectet again. So i had to control her all the time.
Now we made a test...
I dismissed her, TOOK LONEWOLF, and HE asked her to join again. Everything perfect..he controlled her. After save/reload, She automatically connected to me who had Lonewolf!! And he was unable again to get controll of her. Also he was not able to recruit another member..so far correct in the way, that by taking lonewolf on one mainchar, there was only place for one more companion. But the attaching of that companion ONLY to the host even when that has lonewolf is a bit irritating (and frustrating)

Seems to me if thats somehow bound to the way the game manages "host & join anytime". Perhaps that could be adressed somehow - but i fear thats too deep inside the code

As the host, you can hit Esc in game to bring up a menu, and click the Assign Characters button to change who Madora is connected to.

Don't feel bad though! I also wasted a couple of hours on my first co-op playthrough, not knowing that there is such a button.

However, it would be cool if a .ini file could be edited (generated) to set a preferred character assignment (A,C to player 1; B,D to player 2 etc.) once the other player connects to your game.

Though it feels like too much effort though to save a couple of seconds every couple of days or so. hahaha
