I am encountering terrible performance now that I got deep into the Phantom Forest. The game never ran smoothly on my machine, but it got worst since I reached this section.
For info, my machine is a 15" Macbook Pro Retina, i7 2.70GHz, 16GB RAM, NVIDIA GT650M 1025. I tried playing the game both under OSX and under Windows 8 in bootcamp. I tried minimizing the settings, playing in fake fullscreen, enabling vsync and setting the framerate at 30, disabling shadows...
I love this game to pieces, and I know a laptop is not the best machine for running games, but come on, considering what is on display, this game should run fine on my config. Under bootcamp, the game even autodetects my settings at ultra!
If anyone has any suggestion to improve framerate beyond what I have tried, please let me know. Otherwise, Larian, please let us have a good optimization patch!
