Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Ropes, fish and other useless items

Can anyone tell me what ropes and fish are good for (excluding the quest for the Larian armour where you need 4 ropes)? You can't sell them to anyone or can you? So far I have found no use for them. Sorry if this has already been answered before.
