If your weapon has, for instance, 6-11 Fire Damage, does it count as additional dmg or 6-11 will come from your total weapon damage, doing fire dmg?

It's additional, you'll even see two damage numbers when you attack.

Do take special care with elemental damages, as it may end up healing opponents.
Usually it's such a tiny amount it's neglectable, but something to keep in mind none-the-less.
