Couple questions.

I went to the Source temple after clearing the Phantom forest (except Cassandra since I need her bones first). I cleared the entrance area and my PC said I need to take a trial to go into the temple since the portal was broken.

Well, where is that? I can't find any other place to go in the entrance area (other than behind those rocks). I knew of the shortcut the forest spirit told me about but I thought I'd try the trial just for fun. But I can't find any entrance to a trial anywhere.

So anyway I just go past the rocks and ... I don't know what the heck I'm supposed to do here. So far all I've managed to do is trap myself in a poison gas room a couple times (even though I had a large vase over the gas trap vent). What am I supposed to be doing here? Are the bones here? I checked all around the bridge going into the area, but didn't find anything (since my only clue from the souls stuck in the trees is that the bones are at the end of a bridge).

Are you trying to get into the temple of dead? In this case, you'll need to find an area with a lever. There's a platform with three or four dead animals on it. Tip: use your teleporter pyramids here. Another tip: be sure to get the bloodstone from the the statue behind Cassandra's grave. And don't forget to to back Cassandra and fight her.
