Maybe I´m a little bit confused today, but I am not sure what´s exactely your problem. Does the game crash when you are loading your save game, or does it crash when you enter the farmlands? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

It would also be helpful if you could post your configuration. (RAM, graphic card, processor, Divinity Version, DirectX version,...

Also take a look at this thread!

OK! I´m afraid if the savegame doesn´t load properly it most likely has become corrupt. In this case there is low chance that it will work again.

What you can do is to delete all files in the divinity\run\dynamic folder.

Do you have downloade4d any patches? If not download the latest patch from here.

If you download the patch your savegames will not work any more (in case you have others) but it is worth it, because the release Version had lots of bugs in it!

So I would strongly advise you to forget about your savegame, download the patch and start anew this time hopefully without any probs.

Edit: UUUUUPs, didn´t see your last post, so you have the latest patch...

In this case start a new game and see if any problems occur. If the savegame became coorupt you can´t do anything about it (at lewast not easily), but if you have a different problem it will occur again and in this case please post it, so we can find a different solution.

Check the number of files in the saved game folder (in '..\Divine Divinity\Run\savegames'). Missing files might cause the game to crash when trying to load. A new game should have 22 files, after going to either Verdistis or the Dark Forest it should have 27, after going to both it should have 32.

Do you have any previous saves, that you could go back to and re-do part of the game? That would at least be better than starting over.

If the files in the saved game folder are marked as read-only it will cause the game to crash trying to load it, though that should not be a problem unless you backed up the save to a CD-R and then copied it back to the hard drive.
