Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General game has gone to stained glass

It's me again. this time the game itself has gone ape on me. bare with me for a short while please. last night my wife shut down the game as she has for the last two months and went to bed in real life. this evening she fired up the game and the main screen showed what can only be called stained glass. the map is fine, the mini map is fine. the command icons are fine, the screen is various colors and the character flickers inand out of the colors and the black screen. you can see, but exactly like you would through s stained glass window. you open a saved game and find that all saved games are the same way. new games the same, but only the games themselved. not the maps, command icons etc. in other the video card is working. Incidently Diablo lod works without a hitch. will try a restart of the computer but after that i'm out of ideas since i cant even load my own game or start a new one. any suggestions?????
