I don't think you'll ever get it fully in again though, it needs a lot of power

I think, it works better while turning (German : "drehen") the cork while pushing it.

make sure the cork is dry, when wet it expands therefore will not fit back into bottle

maybe a bit off topic: drink the bottle => bottle doesn't need to be recorked. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shhh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shhh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

If it's sth with bubbles, e.g. champagne, put a little spoon upside down in the bottle - but pref. drink it the other day or... give it to me <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />

Hmm once its uncorcked you should drink it out, in 5 days. If you want to store it longer, you should get these rubber corck replacements with a vacuum system, so no air can get to the content of the bottle. I guess you can find such systems in any decent supermarket.

It's one of these days...
