Anyone else ever have a situation where a combat will start and then one of the party members just kind of gets "dropped out" of the fight by the game? I.e., their icon disappears from the row of combat icons at the top of the screen and they can move regardless of whether it's "their turn" or not. They're not fleeing from combat or anything, and they're right there with everyone else; it's just that the game itself is, for some reason, dropping them from the list of people in the fight.
We're having this happen and it's causing a problem because it causes the battle to get "hung up" where the characters stop taking turns and there's nothing we can do. (Although that one character can still move around any time they want, all the rest of the characters are stuck in combat and can do nothing, not even take turns.)

Did you perchance have summons inplay... that died then?
Select the character at play (if not sure, scroll between all of them)... once you got the one that's next you can proceed again regularly...

No, there were no summons involved. Also, sorry but I'm not sure I understand what you're saying to try.
We end up in combat (unavoidable based on where we are) as soon as we enter the zone but then one of the characters gets "dropped" from the icon list at the top showing who gets to move in what order for the fight. Fight proceeds until it gets to where that character would've been in the sequence, then stops. That character -- which seems to be out-of-the-fight -- can take a few actions as if they were in combat (even though their UI looks like out-of-combat mode), and then anything else they do has no effect. They can continue to walk around anyplace they want, they can click on abilities, but using them has no effect, and nobody else gets a combat turn. None of the other characters can do anything at that point because it's "not their turn" in combat. Fleeing combat will get the other character(s) out of combat and everything seems fine until you bring the glitched character anywhere near the rest of the party, at which time they all (all but the glitched character) go back into combat mode, even though there may not be any mobs nearby.

I've had this happen. WIth one of the characters freely moving around, hold CTRL and melee hit them, or fling a spell at the monster. That will either allow you to kill off the monsters and end combat or put that character back into the game. This bug doesn't happen often, but I've experienced it.
The funniest place I experienced it was the "mushroom battle" at the White Witch house. I was able to spawn so many stinking mushrooms that the game lagged and nearly crashed. Now that I think about it, I should have taken a screen shot. I couldn't finish the battle due to some of them spawning in her house which was under the barrier.

Every time there I run into trouble on the road, there is always a dwarf at the bottom of it. Don't they know how to drive above ground?
