I went to the prostitutes to have a look <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> and my reputation got -8!!!

U overhear those women talk of their housbands all go down leptines (lepty) house who knows why (ehem to get a shag?) when u first enter verdistis in the game.., <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Are you sure that was when your reputation dropped? There are friendly thieves in the Verdistis sewers (in games started before installing the 1.34 patch), which can cause a drop if you attack them without noticing they are green on your mini-map.

Definitely Raze. I can guarantee if you only go and have a look at the brothel beneath Leptine's house (the Hatch) your reputation drops a lot. You dont need to have spent money for any "Services" your reputation drops as soon as u go down there.

Makes sense tho if in the game you're primarily looking at becoming a hero....Heros dont go to prostitutes!!

I did visit the brothel, purely for the experience points and to completed the quest, but did not get a reputation drop. Even after freeing Penumbra and returning to the brothel for 'special treatment' I received experience, but the only thing I lost was most of my hit points. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/badsmile2.gif" alt="" />
Did you return to the Ducal inn and talk to the two guys looking for the tarts?

Heros don't steal everything that isn't nailed down or lie to their supposed true love, but that never stopped me from getting loot or completing a quest. The game only applies a reputation drop to stealing if you get caught, so the brothel should be safe (who's going to call the guards on you?).

I don't recall a reputation drop either. While I was there I killed the pimp--I forget his name--in hopes of liberating the women, but all that happened was that I received a few exp points. Nobody there became neither hostile nor grateful. I strongly feel that there should be some option for a good guy to score exp points by freeing them or converting them or something positive because as it stands there is only a reward for immoral behavior. This limits the RPG potential and also may offend.

Yeah man, I solved all the quests in Verdistis way before (I am a member of both guilds, killed the vampire, and offered some hoes for those two sorry looking idiots at the Inn etc..).

I will check again for you guys about the reputation, I was sure it dropped but now I am not so sure anymore....YOU HAVE MORE XP IN FINISHING IT THAN ME!!

Its not a big problem anyways, I gained it back, I am a positive character...
