So.. i'll just put a little list in the forum with some things I found annoying or disturbing after finishing the "first chapter". It's nothing of a big business and still playable, but for me, it would personally make the game more smooth. Oh wait, I have 1 big point and I will start with it:

1. Mages vs. Fighters or Dexterity based chars:

Mages are OP in this game. I know the idea behind the game is to play with and against the elements. But there is no balance between the classes. For a mage you just need a high Intelligence and maybe some Speed and Constitution for AP and a good pool of Life. Then everything is about keeping the enemy on distance. With summons and a lot of debuffs and stopping spells no problem. I saw in a forum two players who played 2 lonewolf mages ... no big deal for them to play the game. (Thou I dont know if they play on hard or normal)

While Int Chars keep distance through Int, Dex and Str Chars need EVERYTHING else to survive and do Damage. Str Chars in Close Combat need high constitution, high strength, high Speed. Scoundrel needs same, but Dex instead of str. Range Chars need Perception too.

And now to the abilities:

What other possibilites to you have, if you are playing a Str. Char? None. In Close Combat are more busy with surviving, than doing damage. There isnt just the problem, that everyone is attacking you and putting down you HP very fast. You can also be happy to be not knocked down, not stunned, not charmed, not blinded etc. All your abilities are going into single or two-hand weapon and into all kind of defence abilities.

Dex chars? A Scoundrell needs so many attributes and abilities, also talents and still is bound to fight in close combat. Sneaking works for 1 time, if in close combat, the char is easy to kill. But at least his Dex is good for bow too... he just has to invest more in perception.

So playing a strength char and a second class (like cleric) is very hard to play. A cleric is a good solution, cuz you can heal yourself and buff your HP. But its about surviving again.

A Ranger can be a scoundrel and the opposite, but they need every attribute, except strenght.

What about a mage? They need to invest only into Intelligence, little bit constitution, little bit speed and then can put all their abilities into elements. Geomancer? Needs just Int. Witch? Just Int. Pyromanic? Int again. And so on. They can play 5 classes easily by having high Int. It would just make no sense, cuz you wont need so much spells, but its possible without a problem. But with high speed, they can spell alot, keep distance to enemy by spells and mighty summons and move very quickly away, if needed.

I rly dont know how to solve this problem. I read in PC magacines, that in later gameplay the fights are getting more easy. I dont like that, even thou close combat chars would have more chances to survive and conentrate on dmg, but mages would be more OP I guess. I will see...

Now my list with little things:

1. The HP bar beneath the avatars on the left side is very annoying. Because of the inner shadow you dont really know: Has the Char full HP or not. You always have to look with your mouse to be sure, that there arent some hp missing.

2. When playing single player, it's annoying when putting together the avatars with the chains. When your leader of the group is moving alone (no chains) and you want to put the leader back again on the top of the other 3 chars, you have to attach every char one by one beneath the leader. You cant just put the leader on the top of the 3 avatars, who are already put together with chains. It always says: To far away - thou all 4 chars are on the same location.

3. I hate it, how the chars are moving their bodys in combat, though its not their turn. They are wiggling or shaking their body, I dont know the right word. Sometimes the hardest thing to kill an enemy is to click on it, while its moving. Yes the B button helps, but not always. If there are slim NPCs, like skelettons which are often moving extremly, it still needs aiming and timing to click it.

Aiming on the pictures on the top of the screen only works with spells, not with weapon! Why!?

4. this brings me to the next point. If I choose a spell and then dont want to cast the spell (because for example I cant see the target), I cant click on the next spell immediately. I have to stop the spell by clicking ESC or right mouse and then have to choose the next spell. If I click on the next spell, when the char has still activated a spell, it shoots its spell (for example a fireball) behind the spellbar.

5. It needs extremely long, after casting a spell, to cast the next spell. When in fight, it's round based and everyone has to wait till I casted my spells. It makes no difference if I cast my spells in 5 seconds or i need 5 hours. It really sucks, that I have to wait for seconds, till the wand gets an arrow again, to choose the next spell.

6. I can send Items to other Chars, when those Items are in chests (and so on), but if those are on the floor, I have switch chars or pick them up with 1 char and send it from my inventory after I took em all. Playing with 1 char and drag and drop all Items, which are on the floor, to other chars, would be the fastest way.

7. Keys. Do I really have to search every Char, if it has picked up the key for the door/chest I want to open? I pick up Items with the main char, but have to send the keys for chest to my scoundrel, who has the highest luck. But only the chest keys. Senseless clicks again. Sometimes keys end up anywhere, cuz I use different Chars for picking up Items... if there are mostly ingredients, I pick up with my crafting char, colored Items with my loremaster. If the Key is in anyones Inventory, I should be able to open a chest. If its singleplayer, it shoudl work this way. Even in Multiplay I think it should work. If I play with someone, I play with someone whom I trust and who waits for me to open a door. It's not a competition. If someone wants to keep his key only for himself, the host should have the option to disable "sharing of keys".

8. Drag and drop items into a backpack. Again I would need less clicks, by drag and drop Items into a backpack, without opening it. My Crafting char has only 1 backpack for all crafting Items. I dont have to open my only backpack to know, which one is the right one.

9. Mark Items, then drag and drop! Again less clicks by doing a simple thing, that works for so many softwares. When puting files in the Windows Explorer from one folder into another, I dont have to do it one by one. With Strg + Click I can mark single files and than copy and paste or drag and drop all marked objects into another folder. In DOS I need to drag and drop every Item one by one to another char (except those are stapled).

10. Saving in Combat doesnt work always. When loading a game, that was saved during combat, it happens often, that the savegame is bugged. The char who should be able to do something has a golden frame on the top of the screen, but no AP. You can do simply nothing, but to load an older savegame. And yea, I do save in Combat, not because I suck in the battle. As I said before, misclicks happen so often, I lost fights because of wiggling bodies.

11. Smoke.... It happens so often, that I can't cast a spell or aim with bow on enemies, when they are standing in or behind smoke. But for them? Its no problem! Sometimes I have the feeling, that it doesnt matter where they are standing. In or behind the smoke, they always can shoot me. I like the Idea of smoke, but if it works inexplicable, it is only a pain. Rangers, who are already doing small damage (maybe it changes in the later game), get rly useless, while fire mages have lot of fun, burning down everyhting. I think ranger should have a spell to see through smoke OR at least to see through smoke, when they are close to the smoke (even thou the enemy is far behind the smoke - so it kinda protecting the ranger, while enemy cant aim you)

Finally: Thou I had one big point in my last post, I think those little points are maybe more important. It's the style of the game to work with elements. Dungeon and Dragons or The Dark Eye had their special spell style and DOS has something new. A Ranger could need maybe some more dmg, the Scoundrel is a good supporter (with high chances on stun, blind, knock down, etc.) and a Str. Char could be a good tank to bind the enemy and keep them away from mages and so on.

When playing for hours, its the small thing, that get a pain in the neck, and performance is often everything you can implement in a released game. I really like DOS and hope that the community gets much bigger very soon, so that there will be more mods and new areas. The Editor gives me confidence, that I can play with my chars in endless adventure. Hopefully, there is the possibility, that enemies spawn with the same or higher level like your chars. I hope Larian Studios keeps working on Add-Ons. I wanna keep my char for hundreds of levels! but still want more classes, more weaponstyles, more Items, (maybe 6 playable chars, instead of 4) and still real challenging battles for which you have to use your brain to win them. The surrounding environment should play a bigger role.

The story should also get much better, more dark, more deep. I like the Idea of Source Hunters, but it lost all it's magic when you find out (very early) that you are "a guardian", you know already now, you'll get kinda superhero. The "End of Time" is nice for unlocking rooms, but once you reached that unbelievable place, the first thing the Scource Hunters think is: "mkay, lets go back and solve a murder". I also miss a conflict between fighting magic and using magic. When making a character it says: Yea fuck you and your magic, but if you use it to hunt the evil, its okay. end. But in the game its all about using magic... Magic is OP, it doesnt feel like a desease, like it was mentioned shortly in the story. Till now it feels like you play good cop and good cop. All the nice ppl love you, all the bad ppl fear you. The story would get more interessting when many of those, who you protect turn against you and those who you fight, show you, that there is more, than just simply good and evil.

Love you guys, keep it up

Str chars have only disadvantage at starting levels. They become insane damage dealers as you move on. Also their survival is no problem when you enchant your gear with resistances.
