Hey guys. Curious here. I'm trying to make a change to some classes. I have my main.pac unpacked. I made the small change. Just to show that its working i only changed class description. I packed up just the single class preset and put it in my mod folder. But it doesnt seem to register. It still shows their description. I also changed character creation presets that are actually in my mod folder to no avail. I'll link some pictures.

You can see here i'm outputting it to desktop and im using the root file as the main folder its unpacked in. And that im also naming it main.pac. I was thinking it would load main.pac then load my mods main and overwrite the files in theirs. I also tried naming it something else to no avail.

Heres where its actually in the folder

I know its packed properly because i can unpack it and get the file with the edits. So somethings up lol

Generally there are two ways to load a mod - from a .pak or from a set of folders

.paks for mods go in
C:\Users\***YOUR USERNAME***\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin\Mods\

set of folders go in
SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Divinity - Original Sin\Data\MODS
and
SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Divinity - Original Sin\Data\Public

The main .pak is in
D:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Divinity - Original Sin\Data
but i'd suggest doing anything you do as a mod.

If you just start sticking .paks in and around places in your DATA/MODS folder, it wont work, the game doesn't look there.

Also the game data path is incorrect in the shot.
In your case it should be "C:\Users\%yourName%\Desktop\unpacked\Main pack 1\", not "C:\Users\%yourName%\Desktop\unpacked\Main pack 1\Mods\Main\CharacterCreation\ClassPresets".
The game takes relative path into account when loading packages, thus creating one with a wrong root path will have no effect on the game.

I see. I really wish this stuff had more documentation. It seems everyone is learning just from experimentation and i just dont have the time.

Thank you both for your help smile
