Like the title says, my game suddenly crashes to desktop without showing an error message.

I'm currently in Luculla Forest near an imp encampment, just after encountering Frederick.

After a minute or so in all my last few saves (from before taking down the Spider Queen back till just leaving Silver Glen) the game crashes.

Had had no issues in the previous 80 hours played (second game, in my first I never got to my current point)

My specs:
Window 7 Professional 64bit
16 gb ram
Intel i7
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760

Edit: I use no mods or played any multiplayer game (in case it matters).

If you load a save and leave the area immediately (go to the End of Time, etc) does it still crash?

Did you previously load any of these saves and play without issues? Or were they all made during the same play session?

Try browsing to the '..\Documents\Larian Studios' folder and renaming the 'Divinity Original Sin' subfolder.
This folder contains the saved games, configuration files and a level cache folder. Deleting or renaming it will get the game to recreate it on startup; playing the game from a different Windows user account would effectively do the same thing.
After that, start D:OS, create a new profile and exit. Copy a couple of your latest saves from the renamed folder into the newly created profile's savegames folder, and see if you have the same issue. If that works, move the rest of the games over.
If that also crashes, delete the new D:OS My Documents folder, and rename the original back again.

If that doesn't help, please email supportdos@larian.com, with a description of the problem and the report.zip file generated by the D:OS support tool (for the PC version). The report will contain system and game information, any crash dumps, and your saved games. If file size is an issue, any saves not related to the problem can be deleted (so keep your most recent working save, the oldest that crashes and your most recent save, and perhaps a few others in between).

This might be related to the Frederick's Bloodstone quest problem I have, where the quest remains open even though the Imp servant is free and moved on after consuming the courage potion.
