Hi modders, I have a question to ask if I could.

Is it possible to make a mod that would switch the roles of the left & right mouse buttons, like the windows mouse options - Switch primary and secondary buttons - does?

I like many others suffer from a disability that many game developers like to discriminate against, it's a truely horrible affliction called being left handed. Many games seem to think that by ignoring the windows mouse settings and forcing use to use the left mouse button as our primary click that we may be cured. It doesnt work, it just results in severe frustration and depresion

Looking through the tech support part of these forums I found a post with a hot fix, by editing certain files, however since the game was officialy released these files no longer exist. ( link to thread )

So this made me wonder if these settings were still fixable via modding?

I have tried other solutions in the past (many games do this) including using autohotkey, which I could never get the script to work perfectly in game (i usualy ended up with both buttons doing the same).

Also a mod that fixed this and became popular with fellow sufferers (lefties) might show Larian how much this is needed especialy in a game like DOS.

TL:DR im left handed lol, can mod be made to make game left handed.

I have to experience with left-handed mouse controls but can't you use a mouse that switches the buttons in their hardware?
For example this one.

Yes I could get a left handed mouse, but why should I have to? Windows provides an option in its control pannel that lets us switch the roles of the mouse buttons. All non game software and a large number of games respect these settings. I currently have a Razer Abyssus mouse I quite like, why should I have to spend alot of money on a left handed mouse because game developers dont respect the way we have our mouse setting configured.

The idea for a mod is more a statement, that if it was possible and lots of people were using it then just maybe the developers may take notice and actualy either make the game respect the windows setting, or a dragon age: origins did, put a check box option in the game to switch to left handed. RPGs like DOS where we are interating with the UI alot are very frustraiting to use this way.
