I play the game with an on-screen keyboard because of a physical disability. The game recognizes keystrokes from the on-screen keyboard, but it simultaneously interprets it as a mouse click to move the party. This results in my characters moving when I don't want them to move.

For example, if I have the keyboard positioned on the right side of the screen and click on the letter "I" to open inventory, the inventory screen will open AND my party will move to that portion of the screen. This is particularly annoying during combat.

Is there anyway to fix the interface so that it won't interpret a click on the on-screen keyboard as a movement command? I otherwise love the game and would appreciate a fix for this. Thanks!

I sincerely hope you get a reply and a resolution to this problem. I'm kind of on a mini crusade myself to fix a much much minor issuse with alot of games regarging left handed people. But this pales my issue totaly.

If you can maybe post more info on what you use. e.g. what onscreen keyboard do you use, how do you use it etc, always overload devs with info, devs love info, plus it helps them to assess the problem and solve it.

Also if you get people (as they do) telling you , that you should buy this or that piece of equipment, or to learn how to get around your problem by doing this or that, dont listen you shouldn't have to do any of that, and please dont give up. this game is amazing, it is realy a game you dont want to miss, so dev please if you do fix one thing, fix this !!

Good luck dude, and I hope you get to enjoy this classic the way it is ment to be smile

That's kind of annoying, actually. I tried with the game in windowed mode and the Win7 on-screen keyboard, and even if it isn't overlapping, the game can still get mouse click input.

Hello!

I, too, am a physically disabled gamer that uses the on-screen keyboard a lot of the time when playing games, and I haven't played this game enough to notice this issue because I've been having other issues with it at the moment but I hope they fix it soon!

Have you ever heard of a program called Dragon NaturallySpeaking? It's a speech to text program that also allows voice commands, just by speaking into a microphone. I use it to play games like path of exile and Diablo 3. It might make things a lot easier for you, because it has for me! Heck, I'm even using that program to type this out right now laugh

As a follow-up to my original post, I wanted to let devs know I'm using the Comfort On-Screen Keyboard version 7.1.5.0 (http://www.comfort-software.com/on-screen-keyboard.html). But I suspect it's a problem common to all OSKs. I have experienced this problem while playing in both windowed mode and fake full-screen mode.

Again, I would really appreciate a fix for this issue. Hopefully, it's a simple fix. I can still play the game, but it's much more tedious without full use of my keyboard. Thanks again.

It is listed as a bug and assigned to someone, but I do not have any ETA on when it may be addressed.
