quicksave only worked once. save works fine but the save area fills up fast and some valuable saves have to be deleted. i try not to have more than six or seven of these full saves in the save area at one time.

Try changing the hotkeys used for quick save/load in the options.

The amount of space for saves is only limited by your free hard drive space. The save game folders (in '..\Divine Divinity\Run\savegames') are fairly compressible, so if you can not free up enough space deleting/moving/compressing unnecessary files/programs, you could start zipping older saved game folders, and delete the really old ones.
