The story's come to an end (although many people refuse to see Revolutions as a conclusion), all questions have been answered (or have they?)...

What do you people think about the whole Matrix phenomenon? Many people were let down by Reloaded, as many or maybe more by Revolutions... who agrees?

Who has played Enter the Matrix? Who's seen the Animatrix?

Just curious to see the reactions on this forum... shoot <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Whe "the Matrix" came out it was a type of film which was completely new for me. I liked the Idea of Neo beeing Superhero in one world and ordinary person in the other. I liked the technical brillance of the film and I also liked the stunts. and best of all the film had a story which was something completely different at that time.

Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolutions can not compare with the first film. I never saw the matrix as a real trilogy, but the 2nd and the 3rd part as ordinary sequels.

They don´t fit in the picture of "the Matrix" in my opinion. These two films have a lot of "story bugs" in my opinion.

Why for example do the machines respect the agreement with Neo, they wouldn´t have to. Machines can lie, we saw this during the films. Why did they intruce the architect in the end of the second part as main oponent and afterward almost forgot about him. Why does the oracel has so much power in the end of the 3rd part, she never had, was only a prophetical program. (could post other major errors as well)

I was deeply disapointet by the two sequels, but this can be because I liked the first part so well.

P.s. didn´t saw animatrix and didn´t play the game.

didn't play the game, saw a bit of the animatrix and liked it so far.

the movies then... I actually kinda liked all 3 of them. the 2nd one was the least good of all, but I still liked it.

The story.... idd, some bugs were in there, but I actually saw the movies as entertainment and I gave less importance to the story which imho is the best way to look at it. the story is important, but the sequels kinda mess up what you expect from it it. so you'd best watch it with an attitude of that it's just in another world. that's it.

Well, I liked the first one best, then the 3rd one, and the second one least.

I found it cool that neo had to learn all kinds of things in the first episode.

In the second one you get to much information thrown towards you, you can't orden it, and you don't know if all of it is true, besides, it as said before, doesn't all fit in the storyline.
The 3rd one, well it doesn't bring anything new..
Oracle is taken over by smith and suddenly becomes very powerfull (which is unrealistic, because the power of the oracle was in a entirely different region, so it should theoraticly only make him weaker) I also don't understand why in the last fighting scene all the other smith were standing aside, if they joined they easily could have won.

The end of the 3rd one, didn't like it..

BTW, there could be a fourth one.

I did like the fighting though <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

I still havent seen the third one yet. The second one disappointed me so much that I havent rushed out to see three. The first movie was brilliant, a big step forward in cinematic style. The second one upped the ante on style for stunt scenes, but I really just didnt get it. It wasnt just that it was wordy, it was also that a lot of the words didnt make a great deal of sense. I mean listen to the architect speak. Huh? I mean if you listen too it a few times, all the words make sense, but really, why bother? We are trying to please an audience here people. And how sex obsessed was it? Even ignoring the soft porn rave at the start. Id prefer less flesh and more substance.

Neo being THE ONE could've done more but then he's overhyped & overrated. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

c'mon, once u know how the matrix world work & that u can manipulate it, why bother punching the baddie when u can alter the reality to your advantage & off the dude? why play along like it's MMORPG & play dead when being the ONE Neo can just bend/break the rules? that's what the premise said he can do.

i still feel that animatrix is the best sequel/prequel/whatever to the first movie.

Okay, I feel a bit out of place here. I absolutely loved the series. I like Reloaded (2) the best, then Revolutions (3) and then the original (1). I'm still to play the game and see The Animatrix, and I will just to complete the story.

I've heard an absolute mix of reviews for "amazing" to "repedative". I reckon it'll be my thing simply for the story.

might as well get the walkthrough or faq of the game to get the story, handefood. & as for the boy, he's nothing more than a waterboy of some sort in the final movie. bulletboy.
