Where you can review which hits you landed, what happened during the fight. Where you can see how many XP pts you got, if you landed a critical hit, if the enemy was resistant, XP bomb, reputation etc.

I remember saying I could care less for a party member but it seems interesting because of the new story line.

"Swen: Deathknights communicate telepathically. Only other demons can hear him and since you are soulforged to one, you can hear him as well. The Deathknight will give you his opinion on matters, whether you ask for it or not. You can go with what he says or you can decide not to follow his advice. The Deathknight is not always telling the truth, so you will have to make your choice."

Very Cool.

"Swen: There are all kinds of quests in the game, just like you had in Divinity. There are quite a few surprising ones."

equal XP distribution is very nice considering practising to increase skill (refer to DS) is not implemented.

summoning doll reminds me of guardians in final fantasy series, except it's something u that u have to summon before it comes to being.

regarding the battlefields, it seems that random generation is similar to all other random generation features for items & stuff as once it generates a scenario for u, it's fixed. unless of course u reload to get something different. i wonder whether u click or your cursor rolls over the riff then it'll start calculating a scenario for u? maybe the former.

for quality control, i think randomness in battlefield is quite limited in the sense that all scenarios may be pre-generated together with items, quests, NPCs, .... . this means there may be a finite amount of scenarios in battlefields & u can exhaust all possibilities. to do that, i guess your attribute points in survivor (determines regeneration & luck) may play a big role in getting certain rare scenarios. i imagined it's(survivor) similar to outdoorsman skill in fallout.

i wonder if u can change factions on a whim while in the middle of your game? if anyone here who have seen akira kurosawa's movie called yojimbo(bodyguard), the main character often change sides(or so it seems). motives can range from appraissing future prospects, espionage, inciting conflict between factions for personal gains, etc.. .

the closest to combat log that we may have in the game is the display of damage when any hit is connected together with colour to note the kind of damage dealt. this is what i can see in the screenies.

Myrthos thank you for the very interesting second part. The more I read the more I want to play . It will be a very different and unique game I think. And perhaps hard ? But I think it is so interesting! I am very happy for that work. Can´t wait

This is also a blessing.

"Swen: Riftrunner is even less Diablo like since the combat system has evolved. There will be fewer monsters, but those who are there, will be harder to kill. Fights will be tougher. A monster of an equal level is really an equal match. It will have access to the same skills, armor and weapons as you have at that level. On top of that you now control a party."

I have been waiting so long for someone to go this path with real time combat. The part about fewer monsters which are harder to kill. I have nothing against hordes of creatures but this sounds great.

As far as I know you can not and as far as I gathered you only get to choose this once in Act 4. I even know why, but am not allowed to share it

Yes and that information, together with some invisible information in a logfile that you can view afterwards.

Seems like the Larian are bigtime rpg players. Combatlog (reminds me of BG series), there way the gain skill level reminds me of Morrowind and there are a few more.

I can hardly wait to play the game.

euhh, fat chance is een engelse uitdrukking, sarcastisch bedoeld. Komt veel voor in HP 5

Yeah, I noticed that, too. Rowling seemed to be on a fat-chance-trip.

myrthos, thanks for the info.

sad to know that there are limitations still as i had hopes that if your character(s) is(are) cunning enough, then u can play both sides to kill one another & benefit from the conflict ensued. maybe in DD2?

still on the same topic, wow myrthos, that late? only in Act 4 then u can choose sides? so until then u can still get & complete quests from any faction?

think i forgot thanking u, myrthos. thanks for the 4-part features.
