I am talking about the quest where you have to kill the dwarves who desecrated the elven burial grounds and retrieve the three elven itens from a witch called Jospehena.
I'm not sure if it's a programming bug or not - but she is just unbeatable, though I am a level 27 mage. Can somebody help?
Have you tried Blind then Hell Spikes? Give her a taste of her own medicine. I've also seen Curse a couple times, then Freeze, Life Leech, Elemental Hail, etc. mentioned as effective techniques for mages.
Make sure you have Shield & Spell Shield up and running, renewing them whenever they get low, and a lot of restoration potions. Deadly Disks will nail Josie whether you can see her or not...

Computergames dont affect kids. I mean, if computergames affect us as kids, we would all be running around in a dark room, munching pills with crappy music at the background!
I was also a mage and Josephina was the hardest character in the game to beat. I have beaten her the first time with lvl 5 lighting and using restoration potions at the same time(I lost around 50 small restoration potions).
The second time I have beaten her with elemantal strike and fade from sight and again a lot of potions. Why elemantal strike? It slows Josephina down, I could hit her several times without getting damage. When she dissapears I used fade from sight and waited for Josephina when she appaers again.It was always elemantal strike =>fade from sight=>elemantal srike=>fade from sight=>...
Another good trick is to blind her, then she doesnt see you --> she cant cast spells at you <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />
