I have rendered the world map for my level and I have the .dds available but how do I assign the .dds to my level. So that, I can see it when playing the mod ?

I probably need to import the .dds using a resource manager but what then ?

(A previous post of mine, stolen wholesale from a relevant thread that's since sunk to the bottom of the boards. You already know most of it, but the stuff you're looking for is also in there I assume. I'm pasting it all in just for the benefit of anyone else that's looking for the full process.)

Click on the World Map Renderer tool, to the right of the 'chessboard' icon at the top. In the Maps To Render section, click +Add. This will create a new folder, Data\Mods\MODNAME\Levels\LEVELNAME\WorldMap. In there will be two files, named WorldMap_0 or whatever. These make your main map ('M' key). To make the Minimap, you need to copy the two files and re-add them to that same folder but called Minimap instead.

It should end up looking something like this,

And you're done!

Note, both maps happily take into account your Region Trigger shrouding by default.

I'd love to say I figured this out myself, but ha. No, let's not be silly. As usual, I was just following roguelike's instructions.

EDIT: wait, if you have the .dds for the worldmap already, in the place where it was created, doesn't the worldmap now pop up when you hit 'M'?

No it didn't appear. The map was completely black. However, now that I have the Minimap added they both seems to work fine. I'll just have to scale down the minimap resolution.

Looks like one problem is solved now and a few more to go.

Thank you for your help.

Strange! Not sure what the problem could have been there. I was under the impression that the World Map part was largely automatic once you pressed the button in World Map Renderer. Good to hear it's fixed now.
