For what's worth, this is my impression regarding talents: (1)(-) Five-Star Diner: A joke. (1)(-) My Precious: A joke. (1)(-) Packmule: A joke. (1)(P5) Demon: A joke. (1)(H5) Ice King: A joke. (1)(IwC) Escapist: Who escapes anyway? (2)(-) Light Stepper: An expendable talent; it may be useful for a character with 9 perception. (2)(-) Know-it-All: An expendable talent. (2)(-) Politician: An expendable talent. (2)(-) Scientist: An expendable talent. (2)(-) All Skilled Up: An expendable talent. (2)(-) Bigger and Better: An expendable talent. (2)(IwE) Courageous: An expendable talent; rather useless. (2)(Sc2) Swift Footed: An expendable talent. (2)(Sc5) Headstrong: An expendable talent; unless your defenses really suck. (2)(EM1) Sidestep: An expendable talent. (2)(EM5) Elemental Ranger: An expendable talent; there are better ones. (2)(MaA5) Sidewinder: An expendable talent; may be considered for tanky builds. (2)(Sn1) Speedcreeper: An expendable talent. (2)(W5) Voluble Mage: An expendable talent. (2)(SH1) Anaconda: An expendable talent. (2)(BB1) Morning Person: An expendable talent. (2)(BB5) Stand Your Ground: An expendable talent. (3)(-) Arrow Recovery: May become handy, if you like to use special arrows. (3)(-) Bully: A talent that must be considered for low/non-caster builds. (3)(-) Far Out Man: A helpful talent, specially for casters. (3)(-) Elemental Affinity: Helpful under certain situations. (3)(-) Stench: Useful for ranged/elemental companions. (3)(-) Walk it Off: A good talent for certain battles. (3)(-) What a Rush: Useful talent, it may deserve a (3.5). (3)(W5) Comeback Kid: Good, but who wastes 9 skill points on Will anyway?, 3 is enough with the appropriate equipment. (3)(MaA1) Opportunist: Useful for for 2h characters. (3)(MaA1) Thick Skin: A must have for a tanky build. (3)(MaA2) Picture of Health: A must have for a tanky build. (3)(A5) Lightning Rod: An average talent, which may be helpful under certain situations. (3)(G5) Weatherproof: An average talent that helps under certain environments. (4)(-) Pet Pal: Extremly useful in many places; although rather useless after the first gameplay. (4)(-) Leech: Previously OP, now it remains one of the most useful talents, specially for rogues. (4)(-) Zombie: A talent that increases the variability of builds. (4)(Sn1) Guerilla: A must have talent for sneak builds. (4)(MaA5) Weather the Storm: Previously, OP, but with the 80% cap its become more balanced. (4)(EM5) Quickdraw: A very powerful talent, which all rangers should have. (4)(Sc1) Back-Stabber: A no brainer must have for melee rogues. (5)(-) Glass Cannon: Arguably the most powerful talent in the game. (5)(-) Lone Wolf: Changes how you have to play the game.
Glossary:
Talent Quality:(Worthless 1 - 5 Helpful) P=Pyro H=Hydro A=Aero G=Geo Sc=Scoundrel EM=Expert Marksman MaA=Man at Arms Sn=Sneak SH=Single Handed W=Will BB=Body Building IwC=Incompatible with Corageous. IwE=Incompatible with Escapist.

You are rather generous in ranking the talents especially bigger and better and all skilled up, which are most likely to be the worst two talents in the game due to having a demon ingame which gives you more then those talents do.
However I do agree that over 80% of the talents are absolutely worthless, however mostly because they either really are or when you compare a talent versus 10 ability points or 2 attribute points only a very small amount of talents remain useful.
With kind regards,
Rashar.

I agree with you, in general I was generous. For the sake of D:OS, I hope that they add talents that actually help the variability of builds.

Sometimes I wonder if the bad one's are bad or are the good one's too good. In DnD their Feats are more inline with the bad one's listed, they are all small incremental additions that in the end add up to something good. While in D:OS you have some like DnD's but then you have some holy smoke one's. It's sort of fun, but it also may make things a little silly. Not sure if I like a very incremental list, a very strong list or even a mixed one. Not sure.

I have never played pen & paper D&D, but I played NWN1 (based on DnD 3.5) for years and I can tell that all the feats really did matter; even 1 more AC from a feat was a huge difference at end game.
The difference is that NWN was extremly complex but also extremly polished, and fine tunned, so that every detail did matter.
Even for PvP it was very well balanced in some dedicated servers.

Yes they matter, the point is with D:OS's list, they all don't matter enough when some are superstars. But also the game's mechanics are no where near as fleshed out as DnD's. That said, there are some very nice fun details about D:OS's system over DnD's.
