Hey All!

I bought this game today through dragongaming.com. It's not the Steam version. How do I find the updates/patches to install to get the current version of the game? The download didn't come with any patches.

Thanks in advance!

You have to ask the place where you bought how to get patches... as far as I know, patches are only supplied for the Steam version (by Larian) or the GOG version (by GOG)

Not sure how that store can even legitly sell D:OS, as it's only on Steam or GOG afaik...

There is currently just Steam or GOG AFAIK. Selling an outdated version with no patch is a very strong indicator that it is a pirated version, without even seeing the website (dragongaming.com gives a server not found error).

The site he is referring to is presumably gamingdragons.com

Basically they're game resellers: they purchase games/codes on the cheap (e.g. in eastern European countries, or during sales) then resell the codes for a profit.

The site offers a Steam version and a cheaper unspecified version, which seems pretty sketchy. Larian folk may be interested in that non-Steam version.

I looked at the site, and when you mouseover the generic "Direct download" icon, it says "Download will be provided by official game publisher". Which is odd, considering Larian doesn't even provide the game for download on their Larian vault yet. Unless it actually means the GoG version, but I didn't think GoG allowed third-party resellers for their catalog (I could be mistaken, however).

GamersGate, at least, has a few games where they provide the GOG installer, but the download and patches are available from GamersGate. You can get keys from developers or the odd game in a bundle, but AFAIK there are no GOG resellers.
