How do you save your progress on a level you've created?

The only option I can find is to close the window and then say yes when is ask if I wanna save.

LOL how lame. I never use the "save icon" so I was completely oblivious to it. Thanks

Is it possible to actually "save as" as opposed to just save though? In case I want to make a backup copy of a version, before doing something dangerous or silly?

I don't know, after 40 hours in the editor i'm comfortable enough to not make mistakes.

When I began however, I was also scared of messing things up.
The way I backed up, was to duplicate the Data folder in
Steam\Steam apps\Common\Divinity Original Sin

Take it as a temporary solution, it won't be long till you don't need backups smile

Always make a back up or back ups, since we are human errors will slip in eventually, so allways good to have a back up plan.

With kind regards,

Rashar.
