I don't really recall what level I was at when I first met the wonderful young prince and was kicked out of his beautiful castle. I did almost all the other quests on my list first. Perhaps someone else can tell you what is a good level to do this. Also, no..this is not the point in the game you go into the Wasteland..you still have a long way to go.

Depends on your abilities. I made the whole Castle pretty late, so not to lose my pyramids for a long time. I was in my 30er lvls. The steel skeletons in Iona's dungeon were hard. But you don't have to solve all lvls at once. If you have the quest from cat Arhu to free Z. you can try it if you want your pyramids back quickly. Freeing Z. is in an area where you can't use magic, but there are still potions, correct? After that you get the possibility from Z. to access the area where your pyramids are - 1 boss monster, mummies and liches. As soon as you have killed that boss monster, you can search for the person who has your pyramids and continue with all open quests.

I'm a defensive gamer, so I don't like combat stress, being in my 30er lvls made battle easy. What is your lvl, please?

My current lvl is 28 im doing some quests in the dark forest i have to say that it may sound a bit weird. but i haven't used the pyramids ever. up to now i didn't have em and even when i had em i just found no use smirk.
i got a portable bed if i wanna sleep and well, i found merchants along the way to sell em stuff... but i got 70k gold now and i don't see y i need gold in this game ;P

Ah, I played mage - so I liked one pyramid at the shops in Ars to frequent them on the hunt for mage books. Besides I try to be not encumbered and maybe trigger the bug that can come with it. And I have my depot there where I store item quests, so I don't lose them.
Kiya

Well, if you don't need them, then just carry on and have fun. I once did the Zandalor quest in my 20es, it's possible.

Last addition: Try to kill as many monsters outside of Rivellon (1st map) as possible. At about lvl 34/35 you get no XP, they are too low leveled (game balance) - this does not go for steel skeletons, but I got nothing, even for elite orcs at that lvl.

You might like money in the end area of the game => gold charms for 50 000 gp/piece. but you've got a long way to go for that <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

oh i understand what ur saying bout the exp. it's like i get no exp from rabbits and cats now. i didn't know monsters in rivellon can be so low lvl to you though.
btw what is the highest lvl achieved in divinity? you know anyone who breached the 80's? or 90's?
is it even possible?

49-52 is normal - if you don't "cheat" by using resurrect to respawn boss monsters or something like this. No lvl cap in the game.
Kiya

Again about game balance: the first map (Rivertown is maybe more exact than Rivellon) has the easy monsters OUTSIDE! so, I had my personal XP cap at about 34/35 with the elite orcs e.g.

The Dark Forest was then my next goal, where I got a lot XP again. Maybe Raze can explain this better than I can - sorry, I'm German.

the very large ones are pretty rare wouldn't waste'em on armor that isnt really good, like the vampire boots are the best boots I ever saw, holy items and dragon armor are the best (and larian armor)

Here, not sure if I understood your question correctly - an overview about all rune sorts. I had no probs getting the large golden ones in the end area. And you can buy them there as well.

Oh, I wouldn't say you'll reach 28-52 very quickly, you need more and more XP pts for that. Please, after you've completed the game, just post your opinion then again, ok?
