Not that i know of. I couldnt see how it would go. The three brothers are dead, no one to revive them.

Guess not, Blizzard has other projects at the moment and besides that some of the main creators of diablo2 left bilzzard and got their own company. They can´t do Diablo3 because of legal issues and Blizzard is missing them as workers.
So Diablo3 is rather unlikely for the next few years.

Altough the diablo serie is a very succesfull one, so they could generate a lot of money from it.

There are some rumors, bur unfortunately nothing more than that. We remain puzzled.
Apart from that - as I already said in the german part - I don't / wouldn't expect anything new from a third installment.

If there is a Diablo 3, it would have to be a prequal, and it would probably be a lot worse than either of the other two. They need to go in another direction with this genre. (Like Divine Divinity!)

I think when mslynx is playing , there won't be much interaction with the forum anymore ...

You are right Alrik...I am sure that most everyone here will vanish for a time. I am not leaving, don't worry about that! In Q1/04 I think we will all be buisy running rifts and checking out battle grounds. Not to mention updating our fansites with nifty personal screenshots! Imagine! I for 1 will not be playing Diablo! Thats why I say I will miss you. But, when Divinity 2 comes out we can all be together once more! Share our items and do away with evil! Woe to the evil ones!

Well, in diablo 1 they name some lesser demons who would take over hell if the prime evils die (in some book I found in the dungeon), maybe that could be Diablo 3.

Yeah right. I found some time ago, don't remember where, and extract from an interview with one of the creators of D2; he said, that the other evil spirits out there (Belyal and Asmodeus) are still lurking, and besides "evil is eternal; it cannot be banished for ever". This was the reply to the question, whether D3 is to be released. Although, Tyraels comment on the destruction of the famous Stone Of The World(also known as Cornerstone of the World in "Hellfire") leaves no doubt, that things will change in Diablo universe, reading between the lines: magic and wizardry will(might?) disappear.

Well, in diablo 1 they name some lesser demons who would take over hell if the prime evils die (in some book I found in the dungeon), maybe that could be Diablo 3. Most of the are dead, though. - The Lesser Evils:
- Duriel, the Lord of Pain, was defeated in Act II of Diablo II.
- Andariel, the Maiden of Anguish, was defeated in Act I of Diablo II.
- Belial, the Lord of Lies, was defeated at the end of Divine Divinity.
- Azmodian, the Lord of Sin, is yet to be seen?
The Prime Evils: - Mephisto, the Lord of Hatred, was defeated in Act III of Diablo II.
- Baal, the Lord of Destruction, was defeted in Act V of Diablo II.
- Diablo, the Lord of Terror, was defeated on level 16 of Diablo and in Act IV of Diablo II.
Okay. So maybe not most. I thought one of them was killed at the end of Diablo: Hellfire, but apparently not. So there's one (okay, two ) Lesser Evils left to defeat. I wonder if we'll have to fight them both at once? EDIT: Duriel is in-fact defeated.

Wasnt duriel defeated on the end of act2 in diablo2? That sounds familier now. Good timing, I'm just up to that act again! I kept thinking that Tal-Rasha was the boss for Act II, but Tal-Rasha is the mage that is imprissoning Baal. Diablo's new host frees Baal and leaves Duriel behind to look after you. Thanks for that! Well, that leaves two left...
