I decided I had not spent my points right and started a new game. It did not inform me that my old game would be lost or overwritten. I did this twice actually and am on my third start. Are my old saved games still there somewhere? As an aside, does anyone know if there is a mod that allows you to bank an item from one game and retrieve it in another? Thanks!

You can create different profiles to have different game saves separate. Auto and quick saves cycle through the limit set in the options (default is 5, can be set up to 25), so if you didn't make any named saves, subsequent games would eventually overwrite earlier ones if you are using the same profile.

You can check out the Save Game Editor, but I don't know if will let you transfer an item from one save into another.

What? That is not what I have experienced at all. All my named save games are there. Only the auto save and quick save slots are overwritten. All the named save games I have created during play are there no matter from which game. Is this not the case for you? Do you really lose all your named save games when you start a new game?

FYI: I am playing the Windows version (Steam) on Window 7.1. Also, I have only created one profile in the game.

*sigh* My bad, was just using quick save for ease. Doh!!! So, those have all been overwrtitten. Too bad. Thanks all for the replies!!!
