Just as the name says, every time I try to open the inventory it crashes to desktop. I re verified the game cache from steam but it still crashes, any help?

Is this for a particular character after a certain point in the game, or any character, even in a new game?

Just in game, anytime I press i. Generally it will be at the first dead guy I find with an item on him, I'll try to open my inventory to view it and it just crashes.

Try the inventory button below a character portrait, before picking up anything (just at the initial landing spot on the beach).

Did you try lowering your game resolution, or switching to windowed or fake fullscreen mode?


Please email supportdos@larian.com, with a description of the problem and the report.zip file generated by the D:OS support tool (for the PC version). The report will contain system and game information, as well as your saved games. To reduce the file size, you can delete all but one save from the zip (since the problem is consistent).
You can also check the '..\SteamApps\common\Divinity - Original Sin\Shipping' folder for any CrashDump files, and either add a couple to the report.zip, or zip them separately.

Well I'll be, clicking on the inventory button worked. It seems like only something with the hotkey (tried rebinding), doesn't seem too big of a deal now. I was upset since I thought I simply couldn't access the inventory in a RPG (waste of 40$) but this is just a minor inconvenience. Thanks alot

That is strange. I guess you can assign the hotkey to something you are less likely to hit by accident. Maybe check it after the next update (likely end of the week, if there are no delays or major issues found) and send in the report.zip if it still crashes.
