I'm outside Aleroth fighting orc raids and preparing for the soon continued journey. I encountered some Orc Drummers to the east of Aleroth and could not defeat them. Have any suggestions? And what should I expect at this point of the game so I don't get myself into too much trouble? Thanks in advance, as always! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I ran away from the orc drummers (they could not hurt me, but I could not hurt them faster than they could heal, either) and came back when I had a better sword. There is a troll cave south of Aleroth (west of the bridge, if you got that far) which you may want to leave until you get the quest about it, and are a little higher level or have better equipment.

What Raze said. Also the skill poison weapon works great on Orcs and Orc drummers.

Cleglaw,
But the Orc Drummers constantly heal themselves. How would that work?

use freeze - lowest resistances are freeze, poison, lightning - be it sword or spell. If you freeze them they can't heal themselves. Kiya

Well #1 if you can deal high enough damage quickly enough the drummers die and the poison helps with that. #2 the poison gives orcs, humans, trolls, etc. (but not skeletons and certain others) a real fit that impairs their ability to function normally.

Go talk to General Alix first, as you only have a certain amount of time to arrange the escort for the healers.

Go talk to General Alix first, as you only have a certain amount of time to arrange the escort for the healers. This was not my experience. I wandered around doing several quests and clearing out thugs and orcs and I had no problem arranging the escorts in my own sweet time. Perhaps there is some kind of switch where there is 1 particular action wherein if you perform you have a problem in arranging the escort for the healers. Cleglaw

Nope, there's no time limit, Anavel. You can bust this escort healer quest by getting an invitation to the castle otherwise than from Alix/Mitox quests. Kiya
