I'm about to enter the catacombs but before I do I would like to destroy Jake, both in the cemetary and under his house. I'm a level two-three male warrior. I haven't used any of my skill points or bonus points yet. How should I prepare myself and going about killing Jake?

The easiest way would be to use a bow and hit-and-run tactic. Meteorstrike can be cast very rapidly and stuns the enemy, so if you don't mind investing in some mage skills this can be handy at the start of the game. Warriors tend to have spare skill points, so you don't have to be too stingy with them.

I would use a meteorstrike and a couple of mana potions but be careful when you meet him in the cellar because he'll pop up very close to you and he may hit you....

i do suggest hit-and-run tactic also. further more try to have some
spirit resistance and some skill of mage for far-away hit.

Jake will be at the Aleroth graveyard and/or in his cellar until you kill him in the graveyard by the quarantine area. You can wait and level up a bit first, and kill him a couple times before getting too far away from Aleroth.

Killing him when you are at lower levels gives more experience, though. If you kill him on character level 1 (a lot of running with bow, or not so much running with potions and Meteorstrike) it will bring you up to level 3, and killing him again brings you to 4.

If I understand correctly I can kill him multiple times ?
I killed him once when exploring his house and I thought "that's it. good experience."

So I see I need to kill him on graveyard to get rid of him permanently. But how often he shows up on graveyard (I haven't seen him there yet during my play) and how often he spawns back under his home ?

That's all folks !

He only shows up once at each location, and will be gone permanently when he is killed in the quarantine area graveyard, even if he had not appeared in the other places.
In Aleroth, did you read the descriptions on the grave stones? There are flowers on the grave of Jake's wife...

And Jake doesn't like to put flowers on his grave ...

Welcome!

But no, he loves them so much in fact, that he comes out to meet you in person!

I think he's a chauvenistic (woman hating) husband in all three cases. In Aleroth, he hates his wife and want's nothing to do with her. Under Aleroth he's just plain nasty (likely his wife locked him in there). In the burrial grounds he kidnaps himself a bride.
