After you learn a new skill does that skill automatically gain a level or do you have to spend another skill point on that skill? What is the maximum level for a skill?
You need to spend skill points to increase the level of skills (to a maximum of level 5), though some skills can be taught as quest rewards, mage spell books can be bought and some equipment can have a skill bonus.
