Hi Ive researched the forums but I cant find any solution to a problem Im having with backpacks.

I can open backpacks but as soon as I try to drag another item into the backpack, the backpack (or barrel, crate) closes automatically as soon as I click on another item in the inventory. I cant get passed the immaculate trials when you have to put weight into barrels for this reason.

Im playing on a macbook pro. Ive tried using both a mouse and the trackpad but the same issue occurs.

Am I just incredibly stupid and missing something obvious or is there something else going on. I've tried to reinstall the game but to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you moving the container window so it does not overlap the main inventory window? If not, it could just be moved to the back as soon as you click something in the inventory.

Nope, I don't think that's the problem. I've edited my original post with a video capture of what I'm experiencing. Any ideas?

If you click on the container UI and move it somewhere else on the screen, does that help? Even though they are not over the inventory window, maybe changing their position might update something that could avoid whatever the problem is.
You could also try dropping the backpack on the ground, or moving / picking up the crate.

Hmm... tried all those things but to no effect.

I was able to get passed the immaculate trial by placing individual objects on the plate equaling 7,5 pounds instead of placing them in a container. But my backpack problem still remains. I hope I can finish the game without the use of containers or backpacks.

Nobody else had this problem? (Sorry for shameless bump.)

Not that I've seen. Apparently the 1.0.169 update didn't help?

Email supportdos@larian.com, with a description of the problem and the report.zip file generated by the D:OS support tool (for the PC version). The report will contain system and game information, as well as your saved games. Since the problem is consistent, you can reduce the file size by deleting all but one save from the zip.
