How did I guess you would be a Male Wizard? Is its name... GANDALF? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

Male warrior...because I figured that would be the easiest to test the game mechanics with...

Will definitely try another one, since I'm getting the hang of it now.

My first try was a Male Warrior, second try is a Male Survivor with a little magery, and I'll soon try a Female Mage. I hate being a chronic restarter.

just curious.. i played a male warrior.. wondering if anyone had a lil bit of a tough time starting off, compared to a wizard.. maybe it was because i hadnt touched my con until alot later.. but i felt forced to push my strength up to use the obviously better two handed swords.. (before you can get the holy sword and the sword of gods..)..

My first game was a female warrior with a bow and magic.
My second game was a female sorceress with a bow and magic (hmmm) do we see a trend here? I really really tried to use a sword (more on the second game than the first) but there just wasn't as much damage as I could get with my bow.

I'll have to check. I know I had around 180 something for sure. Distance from target always helped a lot too!

I'll post numbers when I get a chance to go check out my first game - I had a killer bow then! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I'm on my fourth time through now. After beating the game twice first as a female mage then as a female warrior I've only been going as far as ringing the gong before stopping. I don't like to reload so it's fun to see what goodies I get with the random stats. I've found the Strange Amulet Mardek is frequently as good or better than the Amulet of Glory. Same with the Shoes of the Scorpion vs. The Boots of the Vampire. It's also fun to see which home is the nicest once I'm done decorating it to my taste. Also I keep finding things I missed the first time, and the second time, and so on.

Hmmmm, one would think that I have a lot of time on my hands, which really I don't.

I just started a Female Mage, and I dunno if it's cause it's my third start but this os so much more fun and a little easier then the Survivor or the Warrior.

I'm on my second female warrior, since the first one got lost in a corrupt savegame. Swords this time instead of bows; although I miss being able to hit at standoff range, I get a lot more hitting power thanks to maxed-out fire and lighting damage bonus skills.

I started the first time with male survivor. After getting quite far - I was denied by a bug whilst fighting off zombies using a bow in the Abbey (dangerous!)

This never happened to George A Romero's heroes, so I opted for male warrior the second time <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />!!

Strength and might are right (JFK) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />!!!

Bows are now for wimps !

As I feel the blood rising, I noticed that there is a cave in the raised area near the Orc camp with a well proper sword ! Worth a visit !! You need to remove some stones to get at it, but it is worth it !!

You'll find some good stuff in Verdistis. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Better stuff later, too.

Whiskey, you've got the Blade of Chaos, a 2-hander. In that area is a good Claymore, leech cave, 2-hander again.
