Hello,

Newbie here. I tried the Search engine, and it didn't turn up any hits. So...

Where can you find lockpicks in Aleroth?

And.. how do you eat food, anyway? Left-click? Right-click? Or do you have be higher than 2nd level to eat? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

To eat open your inventory and left click on the food. Different food has different effects. Bread for instance will replenish your hit points. You can only eat every so often--sleep is better--teleport back to your bed to replenish hp and mana.

Lockpicks are found in a couple of spots in the catacombs and randomly throughout the game. They can usually/always be bought from Tingalf in Ars Magica or Finnegan in Verdistis. You need the lockpick skill to use them Also look around for levers; sometimes there is a lever to open a door.

The question is not, Can they reason? nor, Can they talk? but, Can they suffer?

As above basically. You can for instance find a lockpick when you kill orcs or Lizards (not yet). One sure way to have get a lockpick (Apart from buying from Tingalf the merchant in the Rivertown Market, as suggested) is to go to Verdistis and have a look there. I suggest you look for a quest which asks you to join the thief's guild. Also Commander Kratus's room has a lockpick in it, still in Verdistis where the town watch is.

If you're stuck in Verdistis there's a guide near the town gates, have a look speak to people and you will find him. He will mark most of the spots for you.

By the way, you dont need to pick any locks whilst in Aleroth and the skill is pretty much useless at level 1, so if you're a survivor wait until you're out and about (outside Aleroth) and you will see that things will gradually come together. You will gain points and experience and it will be much more fun to lockpick stuff, also because there are an abundance of lockpicks anywhere in the Rivertown area.

You may think you had it before, but now I've relieved it and told you its old-age kicking in... (When Pickpocketing Sir Dante...)

There's quite a bit to lockpick in Aleroth. There are a number of locked houses and rooms. True there are keys, but that's what role playing is about, being what you want to be. And there are numerous locked chests and such in the Catacombs.

Mind you, I have no idea what level Lockpick you need for any of these places...
