Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity Original Sin - Help/Tips/Tricks PLEASE HELP- not sure if its a glitch or just me!

Been plodding along nicely when I get to the source temple entrance and it indicates I haven't found enough star stones.... to go to the teller of secrets.

I have 7 star stones.... two used, 5 unused.....

I only have 3 portals open in the homestead.... hall of heros, inner chamber, and observatory....

I hadnt cheated or sought help yet, but now I know the teller of secrets is IN the homestead (which is currently under attack) and that other rooms should already be opened as well?!?!

What gives?? do I need to use the star stones to unlock the portals, and I also read the imp wont unlock portals when the homestead is under attack... im stuck! please help....

Yeah, you need to use them. I always thought it was a bit of a waste, but the portals won't open otherwise.

no luck with using them either....

Im not sure if homestead being attacked is preventing the portals from opening or not....

I cant do anything with the statue holding blue and red flames either....

my team is good enough to go forward, I just cant get through the door

I must have really missed something early in the game....

i think i answered my own question.... if "closing the rift" has to be completed to calm homestead... to get the reaction...

You did answer your own question. It is by design that portals do not open while the End of Time is being attacked.

I cant believe I missed so much: the skill book vendors, the respec, the story.... obviously didn't need them to much- but its def a nice surprise to encounter even more new spells to keep experimenting with

I was just hoarding the blood stones w/o wanting to "waste" them.... I was irritated that a couple popped on their own... lol- but i should've noticed the experience reward

This has been my first experience with this type of game, and I absolutely LOVE it.... most games fail to hold my attention, but the freedom and complexity kept me glued

this will be my first campaign that I should be finishing sometime soon now, and the replayability is pretty astounding, as I am already excited to do a second run-
