Is it just me or invest in Crafting and Blacksmithing is infeasible? I saw nothing interesting to be created is better to wait the item drop some points to spend on something that is not worth the time. Hope someone show me I'm wrong.

It's a good investment especially since it can cost your main party nothing because you can outsource the task to another companion who you don't use in your main party and only swap into your party when you want to craft something or offload crafting materials. I have yet to see any Legendary or unique item in the game that is better than what I can craft myself. Here are a few examples (I can show you examples of Crossbows, Bows and Daggers too if you want):

Itエs more than worth the spent points. You ony need to spend 3 points in each category as 2 BS and CR are available via bracers and belts, 1 each with the scientist talent.

BS is a bit more questionable than crafting, but I can not even imagine playing without crafting. Just some of the major advantages:
- Apply rubies to gear for a boost (depends on level of gear) for all of the elementals at once
- Craft your own spellbooks from scrolls, empty scrolls or/and paper or/and blank books
- Craft weapons for the time frame where nothing found is suitable (happens)
- Craft weapons from ore to sell (especially early on, later you are swimming in gold)
- Craft large healing potions from small ones
- Craft belts or amulets for specific purposes like +constitution belts for glass cannon talents (nowhere to be found)
- Make footwear immune to slippery (quite important btw)
- Enhance leather helmets with e.g. leadership
- Enhance bows with sextants (plus perception), tormented soul (plus strength and dexterity), essences (plus elemental damage) and bowstrings (plus base damage)

And so on and so forth. On average crafting boosts ever party members efficiency ba more than 33% easily.

Not that is strictly necessary. You may win the game with complete hybrids, no perception, no skill points in anything but fighting. It is a bit on the easy side regarding fights.

Thorsten I agree, but with this... In another comment of yours you believe the game is too easy on hard, which I do agree (I suggest just make a 4th harder setting). You make it easier by doing what you do, that is fine. It is still easy enough completely not doing any of the following: Crafting, Black Smiting, Using Potions and Using Scrolls. You can take all this out, which is a lot and still do quite well in this game on Hard. I'd say perhaps earlier on combining two small healths into a large perhaps an exception to that.

Edit: Yes you can make better stuff, certainly. In my case it just wasn't needed.

Please note the Not that is strictly necessary.

The OP asked if there are good reasons to spend points. There are. And we should not forget - not everyone regards the battle difficulty as easy, this is more or less an intelligence level function.

Thorsten

Some of the best cold melee weapons are those crafted by Blacksmithing.

It would be worth it if the inventory interface was better wink
