I was thumbing through the latest edition of PC Gamer (the US version) at the newsstand and in their "Top 10 Games Games of 2004" acticle they had a sidebar where the editors listed the game they were most looking forward to (the ones they weren't being paid to hype ) and one of them listed !

It was only two sentences long, (definately not enough to warrant buying the magazine) but still it was pretty neat seeing a fan at a big magazine.

Well, I did buy the magazine, and it says:

"Let me at Larian Studios' upcoming Divine Divinity sequel, Beyond Divinity (formerly called Riftrunner ). A 2D hack-and-slash RPG, this bad boy is set to pair a deep story with expansive gameplay for some rather "Divine" results."

the only reason I got divinity was because of the demo and review I got in PC gammer. I still have the demo and the magazine.

Speaking of Kudo's,PC Gamer Holiday 2003 guide page 46. Eyewitness Report...
They are talking about the remake of A Bards Tale (can't wait for that BTW)
Anyhow,in the artical they talk about what a stellar year 2002 was for the RPG community.
" RPG's as a genre had a banner year in 2002, with Divine Divinity, Dungeon Siege, Morrowind, and Neverwinter Nights all introducing fresh ideas and fabulous gameplay."
Notice was mentioned first!
In case anybody else wants to know, they are talking a Q4/04 release date of A Bards Tale.

Well, PC Gamer calls every game "bad boy".
It's the golden rule of previewing:

Thou Shalt Praise Every Unreviewed game.

Have you ever seen a bad preview?

GMR gave Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader a 4 out of 10.

Of course, I read that after I bought the game.

And now... Black Isle Studios is closing.

Yes ! Joystick a well known french magazine gave 3/10 to Divine Divinity

Hopefully, i had already got a demo of the game in Gen4 another french magazine, and i was not disappointed.

Not for Divinity. But I'm convinced it won't go as low as this one.

Gee zow! ! Maybe we shouldn't buy that one! Thanks for the heads up Myrthos! A Larian game would never ever be that bad! The PIF would converge on them from all over the world and they would have to call in the riot police to disperse us! Could you just imagine everyone huddled in the new soundbooth?

Hi Goldy
I am waiting for the release of Joystick.
If their preview about Beyond Divinity is bad, would you come to Paris ?

If I could go to Paris I would not wait for the review. That way I could to Joystick and warn them not to give a bad review.
