Have the developers added new character classes for <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" />? If they have.. woohoo... if they haven't, i hope they do... the three classes from divine div <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" />ity can get redundant after a while. ui hope the developers could add new classes and new skills and attributes. that's all...

I'm really looking forward to this game... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />

Gee, read the FAQ, people: it was mentioned several times that the game will have a Class-less system.

There are no classes in Beyond Divinity, you can build whatever character style you want by choosing the appropriate stats and skills. New skills and attributes are in.

See the Beyond Divinity FAQ and various interviews mentioned in the Announcements forum.

welcome to the forum!

hmm, you seem familiar... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" /> *shurg*

actually it didn't matter in the divine divinity because the skills could be used by anybody. that was one thing i enjoyed very much, and hope to see again in another rpg some day.

Beyond the meager few i've played.

so basicly there will be many classes, cause whats in a class <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
in the previous divinity classes were mostally just the different looks, everyone could use every skill..

And now you can desing your own look, and you can take all the skills.

So basicly its up to you to create your own class.
You can be the first to have a "fat boy magician" for example <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

jvb, royal dragon prince Cheers!

Perhaps Seraph_of_Lunar meant as in the skills "Path of the XXX" etc. like maybe some musical skills for a Bard, or religious skills for a Paladin/Cleric ? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

expanding the skills to a certain 'path' of life for you charc. could add a countless number. mages could get, skill of extra spell damage, duration, range.

I remember that they thought of having a bonus for learning all of the skills in a path in Divine Divinity. I think they threw the idea out after seeing that no-one would spend skill points on similar, redundant skills. (Or they just couldn't think of suitable bonuses.)

Yeah that's one of the things that i was thinking about... another was if <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> has more charcter portraits. the 3 from divine <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> could get a bit redundant after a while. especially since i took about 13-8hour days to go through the game... really looking thru everything... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />.

or perhaps if the developers added a way for players to make their own portraits... that'd be cool. you could play the game as... well.. yourself... complete with your pic in it.... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />

You've got almost full control over your appearence in Beyond Divinity, like in The Sims. There are portraits for each combination as well, so they can base it as closely as possible on your in-game character.

More skill paths would be very good. I'm looking forward to the new skill system! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

have the developers included race choices in <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" />? Just curious... Being a human all the time can get a bit boring... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />

Nope. It's humans only. I asked this question and the response from the Larians is that playing as other races wouldn't make sense with the storyline.
