I've encountered a rather ugly graphical glitch playing the standard "Wizard" class. Whenever a fireball hits the ground within a smoke cloud flickering squares appear. It looks like the fireball explosion textures have an issue regarding alpha blending with the smoke textures.
It happens very often. There are times when it doesn't happen after the game is started but after playing for a while it occurs frequently.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Cast "Midnight Oil" to create an oil puddle on the ground
2. Cast "Flare" on that puddle to ignite it, so a smoke cloud appears above
3. Cast "Flare" again into the smoke cloud, flickering squares appear where the fireball hits the ground

My system specs:

Windows 7 Pro SP1 x64
Intel i5-3570 3,4 GHz
8 GB RAM
GeForce GTX 660 (driver version 344.11)
Asus Xonar DX audio card
1920x1080 resolution
Steam version of D:OS

My game's settings are mostly maxed out except for shadows.
Tried playing around with all post-processing settings but no luck.
The nvidia control panel settings are set to "let the 3d application decide" - no overrides there.

Anyone else experiencing this or is this an issue on my side?

I've seen that a couple times, briefly, with explosions (not smoke).

It also happens with other effects inside the smoke. This is Nullify Resistances:
