According to the v1.0.251.0 patch notes that hit today, there should now be something called a 3DSMax Exporter that can be used to import character models and animations into mods.

Has anyone tried using it yet?

Edit:
It would also help if we knew where it was located. From what I can tell (not that I do anything with animations) there's now an Effect previewer button on the main screen of the Editor, and for importing Models/Animation resources there's an option to select a "Larian 3rd Party Exporter" (.lsm) file instead of the .GR2 file.

I would love trying to use it, alas I can't find it anywhere....

And 3dsmax exporter aside, there is still the problem that we need a source skeleton and example character with armor hair etc. from Larian to export working armor/model/meshes that work with the existing characters.

Without source mesh, we have no way to know what bone is weighted in what way to what part of what mesh. And It doesn't seem like anyone here wanted to trial and error this (neither did I, so who am I to complain ,p)
