Well I finished my first game and wanted to goof around with the trainer. I keep getting a message that says to put it in the "game directory". Um...what?
Where exactly is that? If someone could give me a path to follow I would be greatful.
How do I work the trainer once I get it loaded? It did not come with a "read me" or instructions.

Peace,
Mintavia [color:"purple"] [/color]

Which trainer? There is a description (and alternate download) of iZakaroN's SaveEditor and DAD's item editor at Kiya's web site.

IIRC, by defailt the game is saved to 'C:\Program Files\Divine Divinity'. The 'game directory' would be the 'Run' subfolder.

Raze, I know there is one or two trainer(s) out there - but I don't remember to which version of the game (patch). Actually, I don't know anything more than that , haven't ever used it (or them)

I looked at a trainer a long time ago (had an '8' in the name, I think), but all it did was give unlimited health, mana, stamina and 5 other things. I was looking for a way to edit resistances, for someone who ran into the resistance bug, but the 1.32 hotfix updated the copy protection and cause a conflict with his CD-ROM.

Der.....theres more than one??? Great. Well I put it in the run file of DD but it is not working. It is the "Deiviance" trainer...if that is helpful to anyone. At least it is happier now that I put in the recommended site....but it still wont work. I know it sounds cheesy...but I just wanted to fool around with the game since I just finished it. I wanted to try a survivor and check out some skills I did not choose during my first adventure. I find it a bit annoying that there is a experiance cap so low. So many skills...so few spawn. You guys know what I mean. I guess Ultima spoiled me. All I want is to make the experiance points go up. I don't want unlimited...just more. (More spawn would be better....)but I will take more exp points. If anyone knows how to make this little doo-hicky work I would be ever so greatful. I must be missing something really simple.

I've used the Deviance trainer several times and found that the version of the trainer has to match the version of the patch you are using to be reliable. The version I first used was for the unpatched game; Deviance later issued another version (Trainer +8) to work with patch 1.033, and as far as I can tell it work with that patch only. So before we go any further, what game patch and what version of the trainer are you using?
Bet you didn't think it'd be this complicated did you?
If you want to skip all this muddle, just take Raze's links. iZaKaRoN's save editor and DAD's item editor are quite unique and fun.

EDIT: If you find that your trainer and patch versions match up, but you just don't know how to make the cheats work, here's the list of cheats:
1 - Unlimited Health
2 - Unlimited Mana
3 - Freeze Stamina
4 - Unlimited Carrying
5 - Get Loads Of Experience
6 - Unlimited Bonus Points
7 - Unlimited Upgrade Points
8 - Easy Gameplay
9 - Resume All To Normal
(press the number to activate the cheat)

Also, I think trainers usually operate on the game data while in memory, so you may have to start Divinity first, then the trainer, or start the trainer, start Divinity and switch back to the trainer to activate a cheat.
