I pledged for Original Sin and played it a LOT and now I've pledged for this other turn based fantasy game on kickstarter. Hope they make it. We need more turn based fantasy games.

not yet, though keeping an eye on it for sure will refrain from explaining, as it is a personal view based on nothing concrete, but suffice it to say i'm not just 'there' yet; well as much as i can judge from what little has been shown obviously. but generally speaking, as always with such type of 'revivals', i can sympathise with what devs have to face (diverse expectations between older and newer players, hardship in maintaining the original spirit while still captivating the young ones and so on), but any empathy aside? what this entails is extra care in one's judgement. Bridging generations and overlapping concepts entails compromises by default. Until i can feel certain i am aware of what those are... definitely wish them luck though, hope the typical trend of slowly unveiling your pitch will have good things to show us as the days go by

You should tell the developers to move the "Endorsements" and "Who we are" section to after the stuff talking about what the game actually is. Endorsements and bios don't convince people to buy games, talking about the game does, so move that up top.
They are also missing descriptions for some of the tier rewards.
EDIT: I was not really that impressed. They didn't say all that much about what made this game special, and what they did say sounded pretty much like what a lot of other games already have done.

Didnt like any of their previous efforts back in the day. Pools I hated and Panzer General was one of the worst WW2 games I ever played.
Concept art isnt thrilling me either. SHow me a screenshot is it Isometric or not? whats the interface look like?
The day is young though and it may still be a sleeper.
But Stabbey is really right about endorsements....who cares.

They have a vid which is the first thing that shows up, shows some rough game play, so far it looks like a cross of D:OS and Pillars of Eternity.
It's isometric as well and turn based, looks like an interesting idea, but does look like a D:OS clone atm, very similar with what they had to show so far.
Would back, but strapped for cash atm and put a lot of spare $ in Shroud of the Avatar already.
I pledged and all I got was this lousy awesome game!

Yeah, lack of early bird seems odd considering it can give a strong boost in initial interest.

I'm backed for pen and paper digital too. I'm wondering why they're not revealing much on it yet.

I will keep an eye on the game going forward. Cant hurt.
I usually pledge to at least physical level ( I would have for D:OS but didnt even know it was being done- so much for word of mouth and the grapevine) since I hate not having an actual copy of the game I hate DRM and want the actual disk with a game since my internet is so bad, downloading anything sucks, takes forever and is precarious.
Where is the video? I would like to watch that. Maybe the game itself looks better than the art.
Concept art is just that concept, but I do not like the armor style at all, it looks pseudo-asian-impractical. Kind of like when I watch Game of Thrones I truly lament the armor in the show.
Funny how pledging kickstarters works, I pledged Wasteland 2 and hated it, ( Fallout-esque it is not) and found out about D:OS after the kickstarter was long over while waiting for Pillars of Eternity, I wish I had pledged D:OS and never even heard of Wasteland 2, better just to play Fallout 2 again. Have to see how Pillars of Eternity comes out, but honestly D:OS is gonna be a tough act to follow. Hence my eternal skepticism.

I pretty much agree with these points. The presentation is horrible and the description does not actually describe the GAME they want to make, but rather lore and team and details. But what about the GAME (play)? A good presentation on KS always makes me envision the game in my mind (this is facts+hope). A bad one leaves me with an pitch black cloud. And the cloud was indeed pitch black after the video and the first 2 pages of text. "TBS" and "party based".. that's about all I got from it. Could describe literally any game ever made even Baldurs Gate or IWD. And whether it's good or horrible is impossible to judge. So this won't get my support.

I see some character build info is finally up in update #5. Seen a comment suggesting it sounds GURPS like. That's a system I've not played, but if they've made a d20 game with GURPS and D&D influences then I may up my tier to physical for the pen and paper RPG.
I think most everyone agrees they made a poor video. Showing lack of experience with modern video media. I'm trusting them based on rep. Having made a pen and paper RPG as well is a plus my opinion. A lot of the mechanics will have been play tested.

Wow, I thought the bio's were unimpressive just from their placement in the Kickstarter page. It does not get any better if you actually take a minute to google them.
The most prominent thing listed is the Gold Box series, which I never played. Maybe that was truly fantastic, but what have they done in the last 20 years? Their president has a list of film and TV companies, but only one game company, whose most notable game is A.R.E.S. Extinction - which was a side-scrolling platformer.
One lists "Castaway Entertainment" and says that he "learned much from them and imparted his own creative flavor to the project". That means zilch because Castaway Entertainment produced exactly ZERO products in the four years it was in operation.
I at least recognize Path of Exile, but the guy who has that on his list was the Narrative Designer for the action RPG which, lets face it, doesn't have a whole lot of story focus. The last guy does the sound/music design.
So all that space listing names and I have absolutely no idea what RPG's they have worked on in the 20 years since the Gold Box.

GURPS is OK. Rolemaster was better. D&D has longevity going for it, not much else as PNP goes I like other systems better, but it did inspire a whole niche of gaming products most of which did it better than TSR/WOC etc did it. Runequest, Dragonquest, Rolemaster, Palladium I liked better but they were all after D&D. I wont mention Games Workshop.
Stabbey...OUCH! Well I always say if you dont have anything nice to say, come hang out with me. LOL.
I heard good things about Path of Exile but got caught up in D:OS so have not tried it. Diablo clone right?
ALso its just that one guy, not the whole organization?
I confess I have not watched the video presentation ( too many things competeing for my attention as usual), the character art was killing it for me.

They've put up races info now (more that should have been up front). http://www.tsi-games.com/technical-discussion-of-races/Runequest is one of my favorite systems. it was a big influence on Morrowind. Running a Runequest 6 Mythic Britain game just now. It's honestly one of the best campaigns I've ever seen. Cannot recommend it enough. Merlin is so sassy (the looks on your players faces as you RP him are to behold).

Yeah Runequest Redbook Edition one of the best of all time PNP RPG's. We did an Elric campaign using a fusion of Stormbringer and Runequest rules, excellant campaign one of the best we ever played.
I will look at the race data later I am at work so gotta be productive for a while, and yes ( groan ) I still want to watch the video.
We definately need more turn based RPG's.
