Hello,

It seems to me that some zombies are impossible to kill with melee or ranged weapons. For example, when fighting the Zombie Troll that patrols on the bridge to the graveyard of the old church, every attack that I did with melee or ranged weapons resulted in some damage, but was immediately followed by the zombie being healed again by a comparable number of points.

I understand that zombies can heal from taking poison damage, and that poison can produced by injuring zombies. But is it really supposed to combine in this way? I was able to take out such zombies using magic instead, but it seems rather odd to me. Note that neither my melee nor ranged weapons had any extra poison damage.

Yes, it is suppose to combine that way, though arguably the amount of healing should be limited to a fraction of the damage (both for zombie opponents and characters with the Leech talent).
Adding a little fire to the mix limits the net healing; rain would help less, but be safer for melee party members nearby.

Fire, fire, fire, fire, fire.

Against anything zombie-like, use fire. It's damn-near mandatory, although I realize that it's hard as all hell in the Cyseal region where it rains (although the rain isn't nearly as "powerful" as the rain spell - remember this; just because it rains doesn't mean that you cannot benefit from casting Rain, as odd as it sounds).

Setting them on fire prevents them from healing from their own poisonous ooze. Do note that you want to set fire to them before you engage them in melee, otherwise you'll probably have ooze everywhere, then set them on fire, and then your people are on fire, and everyone is having a bad time.

Crushing weapons works for zombies too. They provoke some healing/bleeding but not much.

Yeah crushing weapons are probably all arond best anti-undead weapons, but really I never have any problem with a greatsword, but I think a great hammer probably would do more damage, fire essence on the weapon helps immensely.

flaming arrowes and fire spells from a distance are better though, why risk getting hurt, Mage has fire spells anyway Flare usually, Rogue/Ranger has fire arrows by that time a few at least, and I give my fighter some fire spell scrolls so no one has to get close to that damnable poison.

I love when I get to torch Rob the Zombie...I also really like the legless Zombie's, this game has many charms.
