I thought I got the solution from Raze from the in game forum on steam. I confronted him in his dragon forum
and read hi mind got the password. I went to his room after getting two more diaries. From his chest I got the blood, helmet, some potions and a book from his book case but only one of the diaries and the blood are in my quest items.
Going to the librarian does no good. I need a step by step account of how to solve the quest .

You need to talk to the librarian to get the book with the spell to turn Amdusias human again. First you will need to bring him a book he is looking for (the first volume of the set, which Amdusias used to transform). Search the downstairs section of the chamber with the bedrooms upstairs; there is a locked chest there, opened by the key found in the secret room upstairs.


There weren't any gameplay changes in the Developer's Cut compared to DKS, so there wasn't a separate forum needed.
