Well im new to DD, but the way i see it they delayed DD2 because they wanted to make it a hell of alot better than the first one, so they put out BD to satisfy everyone in the meantime... but hey when i beat(hopefully beat) DD ill buy BD just cause it looks like a good game.

It seems to me like this game is being put out relatively quick. So I am guessing that between publish of Divine Divinity and bug patches, they had already started working on this next project, and so we aren't getting leftovers or anything, we are really getting cool stuff they wish could have been in Divine Divinity. Plus, it's a lot of work to do all the scripting for the chat stuff and the voice dialog, so I am quite looking forward to it.

Well <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> it self was complete but theire was a lot of stuff could have been in added in <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> (party system). You'll also notice that the wastelands were a bit dry. Normally if they had time you would heve seen an intire vilage and all de enimies you defeated in the game (like a final offencive of evil). But the publisher was pushing to release it so it never got done. You couls say that <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> the corrections of all the mistakes in <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" />. It's almost like they went BEYOND <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" />

<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> uses an enhanced version of the Divinity engine. So the same engine but with many improvements (see the many interviews for some examples).
And maybe because we work faster now? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" />
