Hello, My name is Ultrox and I am new here. I don't usually sign up for forums, but I was such a big fan of Divinity Original Sin and am so excited for the enhanced edition and Original Sin 2 (I even donated to the Kickstarter) that I decided to make an account here.

Like I said, I am new here and don't have much experience with these types of forums, but I am having a really hard time figuring out how to change my avatar and forum signature.

I'm not sure where the change avatar option even is, its missing from my "edit profile" section and I couldn't find the option to change it anywhere else either.

The forum signature option is there, but whenever I try to put anything in it it says its too long.
here is what comes up: https://i.gyazo.com/53b90af6eaa03c6a5d49f964999a5c54.png https://i.gyazo.com/81353075501743250eee293a60ac84e6.png

I tried searching the forums for solutions but I couldn't find anything, I also attempted to use the "Contact Us" feature but it brings up a windows live messenger related error.

I also tried using different internet browsers and still no luck.

I'm wondering if this is maybe a sort of "new user" policy I wasn't informed of, or if the forums are broken at the moment, or if this is just some strange problem only I'm having.

Any help and/or insight would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

There are restrictions on new user accounts, to try to discourage spam (no sigantures, no UBBCode solinks do not become clickable, etc). Try it now.

Are those restrictions dependent on post count or need to be manually lifted by moderator?
It would be nice to have that info somewhere, like in that automated welcoming message after registration.

(unless it is posted somewhere... then I humbly apologize as I failed at reading FAQ ;) )

The restrictions are manually lifted. Technically there is an automatic post count change, as well, but it is high enough that a spammer is never going to be able to reach with generic or automated posts.
Yes, that should be added somewhere.

I guess since a spammer decided to test my claim that the automated dropping of account restrictions was too high to reach with generic or automated posts, that will need to be disabled.
Practically, nobody has ever reached the limit, anyway. If restrictions are lifted, it has always been manual; people with only a generic post may be stuck as new users (which doesn't matter if they are not posting) and spammers get their account deleted.

How does one go about getting the restrictions removed? I backed D:OS 2 on KS and would like to set up an avatar.
