Hi there,

New guy here, following my backing your Div. 2 project yesterday, just in time before it closed above the last goal.

I have to say, the captcha system, here, for new registrations, is god damn awfull. I don't know why I had to retry a dozen times, maybe because I was clicking <back to the form> each time, but it only worked when I restarted the full form filling from scratch.
I'm sure I filled the form correctly at least once in the first filling session, out of the severall different options the fuzzy image gave me, so maybe a bug here.

But, darn, was it painfull ... I'd suggest to have a look at this ...

EDIT: Oh dear God, I need to go through it with each post ? un-cool, really.

The captchas are only required for new users. Didn't you read the notice with the forum rules before creating the account? There is a note at the top about new accounts being restricted (see the other non-stickied topic in this forum for details).

Hmmm, bizarre. I had to use catchas for my first 2 posts ... It doesn't seem to be required for this one. Maybe some config was happening at the time ...

After someone makes a legitimate post (ie not spam or a generic reply), they are moved from the 'new user' group to the 'user' group, and no longer have restrictions on posting. A forum moderator, usually myself, needs to do this manually, so response time can vary between minutes to hours.
